Renovation
Ristrutturazione di una mansarda
a Villarbasse (Torino). Il lavoro di muratura e' stato minimo,
i materiali principali utilizzati sono stati il legno di acero
e l'acciaio inox, mentre i colori ricorrenti sono il blu e il
rosso. Sono poi stati introdotti alcuni elementi nuovi: il mancorrente,
scultura in acero massiccio, la struttura in acciaio inox, che
funge da sostegno per le mensole sagomate in vetro e contemporaneamente
da ringhiera per il vano scala, la parete divisoria con grande
anta scorrevole in acero e vetro satinato, e il mobile anch'esso
in acero, elemento di separazione tra la zona notte e lo studio.
In ultimo e' stato completamente rifatto il bagno. Sia in quest'ultimo
che nella colonna della scala e' stato usato dello spatolato.
Remodel of
the second floor of a private home in Villarbasse, Italy. Masonry
work was kept to a minimum, and the floor plan was basically
unchanged. Two main materials and two colors were chosen: maple
wood, and stainless steel, for the materials, red and blue for
the colors. The new elements include the solid maple sculpture
which functions as handrail, the stainless steel structure surrounding
the blue wall element, which acts as railing for the stairwell
and as shelving, the glass and maple separating wall, with a
large sliding door, and finally a large dividing wall, which
separates the studio from one of the bedrooms, made up of nine
independent elements and 2 shelves. In addition, the bathroom
was completely redone, using granite on the floor and some of
the walls, "stucco veneziano" on the ceiling and the
rest of the walls.
